Uncontrolled emotions resulting in outbursts...Lisa,
Uncontrolled emotions resulting in outbursts and anger is, I think, one of the most-used tools of satan to get women to be less useful in God's kingdom, (or at least to *feel* less useful, which sometimes amounts to the same thing). Emotions and hormones are a powerful force in a woman's life, but they need to be controlled. Yielding to the Holy Spirit daily, as you said, is key, along with confessing sin, (keeping a clear conscience) and bathing our souls and minds in God's Word.
Blessings!
WendyWendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08230575436747893912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858170935046417472.post-27708070299316120402010-02-10T07:41:48.722-06:002010-02-10T07:41:48.722-06:00Wendy, I love your balanced explanation of reveren...Wendy, I love your balanced explanation of reverent. I especially resonate with what you said:

"Then, I am to act, in an outward expression of faith, calmly and reverently; I am to be ruled by my spirit, not my emotions, and my spirit is to be controlled by the Holy Spirit. Let me repeat: I am not to be ruled by my emotions, and my outward behavior should demonstrate that."

I am an emotional woman that has seen the Lord temper me through healing the broken places in my heart. Even so, there is still the daily yielding to the spirit and fleeing the sinful nature of mine that is prone to outburst. I'm so grateful to have your explanation settling into my mind to draw on a s reminder! THANKS!

Thanks, too, for participating! Truly a gift!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10845894193543130893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858170935046417472.post-20740317393825851032010-02-09T13:24:14.942-06:002010-02-09T13:24:14.942-06:00I enjoy your wisdom.I enjoy your wisdom.Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09275456448997619944noreply@blogger.com
