Awards! Thank you, thank you!

Awards!
Thank you to "Katherine Sophia" at Seek Him First for giving me the "Princess Award" and Nancie at More Than Conquerors for giving me the "More Than Conquerors Award"!  I love awards and these are significant because they represent to me what I am in Christ: as His daughter, I am a child of the King = a Princess; and, through Christ (alone), we are More Than Conquerors.
It's Thankful Thursday and I am thankful to you both for these wonderful awards and reminders of who we are in Christ!  If you would like to share what you are thankful for, please visit Lynn's site, "Spiritually Unequal Marriage" to participate. (Thanks again, Lynn, for hosting this month!)

First, the terms of the "Princess Award":  I hope this will help you get to know me better?! Secondly, I hope you will go to this link,  More Than Conquerors to visit an amazing lady, and check out her gorgeous photography and freebies, but most of all, to meet Nancie and read her story (thanks again, Nancie)!

Princess Award:
1. Thank the person that gave it to you:
Thank you so much "Katherine Sophia" at Seek Him First!  I love it!

2. Name an author you love:
Elisabeth Elliot

3. Name an author you hate:
I try not to read authors I hate, but I would have to say I get infuriated every time that I have *attempted* to read The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.  (The why of which is for another post and another day:)

4. The book you love:
Oh, soooo many, how does one choose??  Let's see...well, any book that has changed my life, so, all of the Isabella Alden books! (Oh, I guess I should have listed her as a favorite author, too!)  And In His Steps has been so influential in my Christian life.  Those are the "classics."  I have new favorites every time I read a really great book which God uses to change me.

5. What always moves you, or what makes you feel excited?
Oh, my.....Well, I get excited when people "become on fire" about the Lord (especially if I have had any part in that) and when they become passionate about their life with Him and serving Him and living for Him and telling others about Him.  (I also get excited when spring finally comes after a loooong winter:) And I get really excited when I hear that two people who I've been praying for and I *KNOW* would be perfect together figure it out and start courting!! (Ok, I'm a matchmaker at heart.)

I get really moved and always cry and can hardly get through it whenever I pray out loud for the salvation of my family.

6. Something I hate:
My mother always taught me not to "hate" because she said it was too strong a word:)  But, I *hate* when people ignore me when I'm speaking to them (alright, especially my "children"), and I *hate* being falsely accused...   (Does anyone else see a pride problem here?) .....

7. Give the award to 7 blogs.
So, I award the following sites the "Princess Award" (drumroll please), to be given to some of my favorite blogs which exemplify and lift up our Heavenly Father--the King--the most, to me (not listed in any particular order):
Berean Wife www.bereanwife.net
Lisa at Extravagant Grace www.extravagantgrace.net
Amy at Raising Arrows www.raisingarrows.net
Amy at Pressing Toward the Goal www.rejoicinginthelord.blogspot.com
Alyssa at Days to Remember www.vindaystoremember.blogspot.com
Ana at Everything Good www.lovingeverythinggood.blogspot.com
Nancie at More Than Conquerors www.lifewithbipolardisorder.blogspot.com

Blessings on you all!

Denise,
What was I thinking!? I should've made it eight, because the sweet spirit of Christ is exuding off of your site! You certainly deserve an award, and your Reward is waiting for you, for sure, in heaven. I put your prayer button on my blog--I hope that you are doing ok...really.
Love you,
Wendy

Wendy,

Thank you for sharing the award with me. That was kind of you and I pray I always behave as a daughter of the King.

My favorite authors tend to change as I find a new author. Lately it has been Voddie Baucham, plus several really old authors like Richard Baxter.

I dislike Rick Warren also but Joel Osteen is worse to me. I can't stand to hear him talk, syrupy sweet but leaves a bad taste.

I love to learn some new treasure from the Bible, especially something I've read over and over again but finally get it. That is also what makes me so mad, hearing others twist the Scripture.

Sorry that I don't get much chance to comment. Although I enjoy reading your posts, commenting takes more time than I seem to have at this stage in life. That will have to be a different seasons I guess.

Changing my website was to free me up from screening comments as much and give back some time, so far it seems to have helped.

Wendy,

Sorry, I may have posted twice. :0 My power flickered off in the middle of the first attempt thus I lost internet access. Hope it won't be one of those days!

Wendy,

Congrats on these awards! And thank you very much for sharing the lovely Princess Award with me.

I give all thanks and glory to God, our Heavenly Father, for saving me through His only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who laid down His life for me so that I can have my sins forgiven and new life and eternal life in Him. I feel so privileged and loved to belong to our Heavenly Father, and to experience His care in many wonderful ways daily.

I am so thankful to get to know you and the many other Princess through blogging :) May God continue to bless you and keep you in His love always.

Love,
Nancie

Great post and congratulations on your awards and I see you passed them along to several of the gals I know. They are neat women who love Jesus.

Awesome. Happy TT and see you again next week, Hugs, Lynn
