Announcement!

Dear Friends, Followers, and Fellow Bloggers out there! I bought a domain name!
It is www.wendygunn.net

For a few days, you will be able to get to this blog, Faith's Firm Foundation, by typing in either http://www.faithfultojesus.blogspot.com/
or
www.wendygunn.net
and then it will be only http://www.wendygunn.net/, so...

Please, write this down, memorize it, change it wherever you need to, and keep coming to visit me.
This should make it easier, and I was encouraged by reputable people to take the plunge, so I decided that I should go ahead and get it done.

I have also been working on a new design for my blog in a 3-column format--I am very excited about it--and I hope you will like it. Not totally throwing out all the old, but adding some new. Check back and look for it in the coming days!

Secondly, to answer Alyssa's question about why I bought a domain name:
I went to a writing conference on Saturday (put on by MN Christian Writers Guild, I'll tell more about this wonderful conference in a post later) and the friend I sat with, who is published, and further on the road of writing than I am, encouraged me to do it. She said, "If you're going to write, unless you use a pseudonym, you'll want people to know your name, that it's you. You'll want to buy your name before you become famous, because then it will cost you perhaps hundreds of dollars to buy it!" Ok, I am not expecting to be famous, but I didn't like the idea of someone out there using my name, and having people go to someone else's site and think it was me (as people get to know my name), and as she said, you're building up a name recognition, so it would be too bad to have someone take that. This friend is a solid, conservative Christian, who I trust, and she has purchased two versions of her name. It only cost me $10 per year.
