Christmastime at Our House

From Our Family to Yours,
May you all experience the Hope
and Joy of the Birth of Our Savior,
Jesus Christ, as you celebrate!
"18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise:
When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph,
before they came together, she was found with child
of the Holy Ghost.
19Then Joseph her husband, being a just man,
and not willing to make her a public example, was
minded to put her away privily. 20But while he
thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD
appeared unto him in a dream, saying,
Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary
thy wife:

for that which is conceived in her
is of the Holy Ghost.
21And she shall bring forth a son,
and thou shalt call his name
JESUS:

for he shall save his people from their sins.

22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

23Behold, a virgin shall be with child,

and shall bring forth a son,

and they shall call his name

 Emmanuel, which being interpreted is,
God with us."

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:
though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
Isaiah 1:18

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6

"24Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him,
and took unto him his wife:

25And knew her not till
she had brought forth her firstborn son:
and he called his name JESUS."
Matthew 1:18-25

Dotti,
Merry Christmas to you, my friend across the world! Were you anywhere near the lightning strikes and storm damage that I heard about in Melbourne? We've had the kind of winter that I used to think of as "normal" when I was growing up--LOTS of SNOW! It is very pretty. I heard Australia had snow up in the mountains! It's been a peaceful pre-Christmas time for me this year, and I am very, very grateful!
May you have a Lovely Christmas, Dotti, thinking on all Christ has done for us, and worshiping Him.
Merry Christmas (Because of Jesus),
Wendy

Jessica,
Thank you, and Merry Christmas to you and your family, too! Enjoy your little guy this Christmas!
I think having a baby at Christmas time really helps to think a little more realistically of what it must have been like for Joseph and Mary. And what a PLAN God made for Jesus to come as a baby--Amazing.
Thanks so much, and Merry Christmas!
