Home School Blog Hop: Random Questions!

Today at the Home School Blog Hop,
we're doing something very fun!
The Theme for the Week: Random Questions!

Join in!  These are easy and not embarrassing--
Thanks, Kylie!! Our Worldwide Classroom is hosting!

1. What time is it right now?
7:45 AM

2. What are you wearing?
My pajamas and full length pink robe.

3. What is your mood?
I'm happy, contented, trusting the Lord. (After a weekend of being on my knees, tears, spiritual battle...)

4. What is one thing your children learned today?
My daughter learned to share and be really open with me so that I can understand why she really loves something, because all I know about it sometimes is what she tells me. She realized that how she portrays something through her words, is how I perceive it!

5. What did you make (or are you having) for dinner?
We're having lasagna, garlic bread and green beans with french fried onions:  leftovers from having company last night!

6. What's one book you are currently reading?
I'm actually reading two smaller books, little by little, because they're almost devotional in nature--calling me to a deeper walk with the Lord. The first is "If You Will Ask" (Reflections on the Power of Prayer) by Oswald Chambers, really deepening and broadening my thinking on prayer and opening up my relationship with God--I love it! The second I just started--I've had it for years, but I think just the title "Surrender--The Heart God Controls", I had to be really ready for it:) (It's by Nancy Leigh DeMoss.) Interestingly, at the beginning of Chapter 1 there's a quote by Oswald Chambers!
"Surrender is not the surrender of the external life, but of the will; when that is done, all is done.  There are very few crises in life; the great crisis is the surrender of the will."
7. What behaviour (in people) is the most common but also the rudest?
Interrupting an other person while they're talking.

8. What can you see out of your nearest window right now?
There is an absolutely gorgeous sunrise out my window--a wonderful gift from God!!

9. What are you currently praying for?
I'm earnestly praying for my children's marriage partners right now.  That God would not let those persons marry someone else, make them all completely surrendered to Him, bring them together with each other in His perfect timing, make them all ready and make their marriages to be used of Him to bring about Godly seed, and much, much fruit!
Note:  I've been praying since before my children were born (and now they're 24 and 20) for their marriage partners.

10. What is your favourite hot beverage?
I drink coffee every morning (no cream no sugar)--just started when I turned 50:)  I do love a frothy chocolatey with whipped cream capuccino/frappacino whatever, but rarely get that. The key word in there was chocolate, in case you missed it:) !

This was really fun, actually!  I hope you'll join in and I am really looking forward to getting to know YOU!
Blessings,
Wendy

May I come over for dinner? I seldom get lasagna, my husband's not much of a pasta fan.

Isn't it funny how you can pick up the coffee drinking habit. I was never a coffee drinker either until about 2 years ago.

Hi! I am guilty of the interupting - don't mean too - I just do! It's something I'm working on! Have a great week! :)

Ooops, also guilty of interrupting. My friends and family sort of understand me though. A lot of the time, if I don't say what pops into my head, by the time the other person is done talking I have completely forgotten what I was going to say.

Hi Everybody! Thank you so much for your comments! In the interest of full disclosure, actually, I'm probably the worst offender at interrupting in our family:( !
I, like you, kewkew, forget so fast, that I figure if I don't say it *now* I won't remember it!! And our family sometimes gets into the bad habit of having two or three conversations going at the same time--aarggh. That's when I go a little crazy. But, I know it's rude, and I am trying to work on it. :)
