Thankful Thursday: Thankful for YOU!

Just a quick note to let you know I'm still alive!  No, I didn't drop off the end of the earth, but I have been sick....still am. So grateful it wasn't last week!


Last Thursday I was sitting in the St. Cloud hospital's Family waiting room with my sister-in-law while her husband went through prostate surgery. He's doing fine now and recovering at home.  His sister and my daughter were also there with us and we actually had a really nice time visiting.  Later in the day we brought my sister-in-law back with us to spend the night and then the next day our whole family went back up (a 45-minute drive) and spent the day with him at the hospital, expecting to take him home late Friday.  He wasn't able to be released until Saturday, so we went ahead up north to their home, where another sister-in-law and her hubby came down from Canada to join the gathering.  My father-in-law was also in on it.  They have this big, beautiful home, (sometime I'll take pictures and show you) where we all slept and spent the weekend together.  Another brother and two of his married kids came and went, as well.  It kind of took the place of Christmas, which got canceled because of a snowstorm.  We had such a nice weekend, and were able to be a help to them, I think, but Kelsey had begun to get sick on Wednesday, and I on Saturday.


After we got home, I got a lot worse, and I've been sick all week. I would appreciate your prayers--though I don't think it's anything serious--I'm trying to decide whether to go in to the doctor today or not.  Thanks for praying!


Speaking of prayer:  The final "Do You Pray?" posts (there are 2, I think) will appear next Monday and Wednesday, Lord willing!  I'm sorry to those who came by yesterday looking for that--I hope you take the opportunity to check out some of my older posts, or look at one of the subjects I've written on, like Marriage or Child-training.


Today, on Thankful Thursday, (to participate and read other thankful hearts, visit Laurie at Women Taking a Stand--Thanks, Laurie, for hosting this month!)  I'm so grateful for all of you out there!  I know that I have friends and people who care and will pray whenever I need it. Though I may not have met you face-to-face, or maybe I see you often and know you very well, I appreciate the love and Christian support that I receive from each and every one of you!  Thanks for being there!

I don't know how I'll feel tomorrow, so if I don't get the recipes up on Food Friday that I promised, (or comment back like I usually do!) please forgive me, and I'll try to get the recipes up next week--Thanks for understanding!  I'm reading your comments, and loving every one of them, believe me, just not responding like usual right now.  So, please keep those cards and letters coming!
